Emergency Department
 Specially trained emergency medicine staff members of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, should an injury or illness occur or recur.
The Emergency Department is located on the east side of the hospital off Fifth Street.
Emergency physicians are on duty at all times, rather than "on call" service.
St. Mary's Emergency Services Department is equipped with advanced lifesaving instrumentation and 17 rooms, two of which are trauma rooms and one is an eye, ear, nose and throat room. Also, instant radio communication with ambulance services, Mediflight and other critical care services are available.
At the patient's request, and depending on his/her condition, the patient's physician maybe called for care or consultation.
Treatment includes but is not limited to: diabetic coma, hypoglycemia, kidney stones, hypothermia, acute cardiac care, cardiac diagnostic care, advanced cardiac life support, acute cardiac augioplasty, balloon pump, temporary pacemaker, major fracture treatment, serious chest injury treatment, emergency surgery for abdominal injury, motor vehicle accident stabilization, receiving center for neurological injury and complete minor medical and surgical treatment.
