Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU)

SNU

The Skilled Nursing Unit located on the fifth floor of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center was remodeled in February 1999 to comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act.

The floor has large patient rooms, bathrooms and doorways to accommodate the patient's needs. Located on the top floor of the hospital facility, there is a considerable amount of natural light available to patients. When the unit was remodeled, more space was added to the unit, bringing more room for activities for patients in the Skilled Unit.

For those patients requiring water therapy, a whirlpool room is available.

Patients' rooms are private, cutting down on interruptions caused by having a roommate during a period when intense therapy and patient care are needed.
