The one-day Childbirth Education Class from St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center helps prepare parents for the birth and care of their new arrival.

Our childbirth class utilizes a video program to explain anatomy, labor and medical procedures in a way that’s easy to understand. The class incorporates birth experiences and stories of real families while presenting the most current guidelines and information.

You will learn:

  • What to expect during delivery (including Cesarean)
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Which anesthesia techniques are available
  • Newborn care and labor procedures

You’ll also get a tour of The BirthPlace at St. Mary’s, with its spacious, private maternity suites. Light refreshments will be served.

We encourage you to attend this class with your birth partner.
