Our many volunteers help make St. Mary's Regional Medical Center a medical institution with a tradition of excellence.
Their helping hands contribute to the comfort of patients throughout the hospital, while enabling medical professionals to provide the best medical care possible. They also provide and operate SaintMobile golf carts, shuttling visitors to and from the parking lots. The SaintMobiles run approximately 110,000 rides a year!
The Gift Shop and Coffee Bar are staffed by volunteers and are available for patients, hospital staff and the community. Beverages and rolls are offered at the Coffee Bar. The Gift Shop offers merchandise ranging from personal care items to cards, books, plants, flowers, magazines and unique gifts. Both are located on the first floor near the east entrance to the medical center. Volunteers also offer patients a daily edition of the Enid News & Eagle, our local newspaper.
Of course, volunteering isn't just for adults. Young adults, ages 14 through 18, are also encouraged to participate in the serving of the community through our Junior Volunteer Program.
Volunteers are proud to serve patients and their families in all aspects of their stay at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. They're the official "greeters" at the main entrances, they assist with admitting patients and help in getting them settled in their rooms, deliver patient mail and even serve as information sources for family members, friends and patients.
