For over 30 years, U.S. News & World Report has been evaluating and ranking hospitals with medical specialties. The rankings are generated each year to help patients gain insight into healthcare facilities that have best patient outcomes and quality care practices.
This year, St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has been rated high performing in three adult procedures and conditions: stroke, hip fracture, and knee replacement. More than 4,750 hospitals were evaluated in the U.S.; 164 were nationally ranked in at least one specialty, while 531 were ranked among the Best Regional Hospitals in a state or metro area.
“The U.S. News & World Report rankings are a testament to the high caliber of performance our physicians and staff execute during procedures and while caring for our patients," says Krista Roberts, CEO at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. "We have a very talented and dedicated medical team who pride themselves on delivering safe and quality healthcare to everyone. It is because of their high standards and attention to each patient’s needs that we continue to be recognized nationally."
Data used in the 2022-2023 Best Hospital rankings and ratings were based on objective measures such as patient outcomes, volume, quality of experience, and sufficient care among staff, among other care-related indicators.
U.S. News & World Report continues to be a leader in quality rankings that offers important information to consumers to help them make the most informed decisions about issues affecting their lives.
