Enid, OK — St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center was one of 844 hospitals to receive an “A” letter grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog group. These grades are considered to provide the most complete picture of patient safety in the U.S.
Hospitals are assigned either A, B, C, D and F letter grades. This is the third consecutive time St. Mary’s has received the “A” rating, according to St. Mary’s CEO, Stan Tatum. “We are committed to providing our patients with a safe hospital experience; from physicians and nurses to support staff, delivering safe quality care is at the forefront of all we do.”

Developed under the guidance of an expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 30 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,600 U.S. hospitals twice per year. It is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
