St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center Named One of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care by Women’s Choice Award
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has earned the honor of being named one of America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care by the Women’s Choice Award®, America’s trusted referral source for the best in healthcare. The award signifies that St. Mary’s is in the top three percent of 4,191 U.S. hospitals offering emergency care services.
The distinct honor represents St. Mary’s dedication to providing the highest level of care and commitment to their patients’ health, safety and well-being.
The Women's Choice Award is the only designation that takes into consideration the preferences of women when selecting a hospital. Now, women can feel confident in choosing the best care for themselves and their families.
The methodology for America’s Best Hospitals for Emergency Care award is unique in that it combines Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results with primary research about women’s healthcare preferences.
The award recognizes excellence in emergency care based on several measures CMS publicly reports which relate primarily to the amount of time taken for diagnosis, medication and admission to the hospital. Those measures are then weighted according to the priorities of the women surveyed.
