This award recognizes the hospital's commitment to a higher standard of care for knee replacement patients. Hospitals that earned a high performing rating from U.S. News were significantly better than the national average.
U.S. News & World Report High Performing Hospital for Hip Fracture and Knee Replacement (2022-2023)
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has been rated high performing in three adult procedures and conditions: stroke, hip fracture, and knee replacement. More than 4,750 hospitals were evaluated in the U.S.; 164 were nationally ranked in at least one specialty, while 531 were ranked among the Best Regional Hospitals in a state or metro area.

The Joint Commission Advanced 
Re-Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement (2024)
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center has once again been re-certified by The Joint Commission for Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement. The Disease Specific Care Certification survey is required every two years to maintain The Joint Commission Advanced designation. This certification is for Joint Commission-accredited hospitals, critical access hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers seeking to elevate the quality, consistency and safety of their services and patient care.
Radiology Services Awards
American College of Radiology Accreditation 
for Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Computed Tomography (2018)
The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.

The St. Mary’s achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 median days to heal. The Clinical Excellence Award was awarded as a result of scoring in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers® on the Clinical Excellence measure which is the comprehensive healing rate weighted by wound mix.
